CrossFit Kids

CrossFit Kids is the principal strength and conditioning program for many young athletes. It is also the primary physical education program for many home and charter schools. It is used by athletic teams, martial arts schools, and many parents that want their children to grow up healthy, strong, and have a lifelong love of working out — avoiding the common problems associated with childhood inactivity, including obesity. Our goal is to make fitness fun while delivering a designed program that is broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Healthy living requires that our kids push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift, jump, effectively and safely as well as laugh, work as a team, be confident, challenge themselves, and become leaders.

CrossFit Kids uses a combination of skill practice, workouts, and games to build strength and conditioning in children. Our classes include elements of gymnastics, weightlifting, bodyweight movements, running, jumping rope, and many others. Our goal is to make fitness fun while incorporating  the ten General Physical Skills. These skills are the base for any sport or discipline your child may pursue. In addition to learning these new skills, your child will make better food choices, have more focus in school, make easier transition into sports, and have a reduced risk of sport-related injuries.

You will see your child have an increased ability to pick up and succeed in organized sports. CrossFit is designed to increase performance in the following fitness markers:

  • Cardiovascular Endurance – Can you get enough oxygen to your body?
  • Stamina – Can you get enough energy to your muscles?
  • Strength – How much can you lift?
  • Flexibility – Can you touch your toes?
  • Power – How much work can you do in the least time?
  • Speed – How fast can you go?
  • Coordination – Can you pat your head and rub your stomach?
  • Accuracy – Can you kick a soccer ball into the net?
  • Agility – How quickly can you change direction?
  • Balance – Can you stand on one foot? With your eyes shut?

At CrossFit Las Vegas, you will see your child progress through a series of levels. At each level, your child learns new skills and builds their fitness. You will see your child become the best version of themselves. We achieve this through the CrossFit methodology, while increases their quality of life — both inside and outside the gym.
