Getting Started!

1) The "Baseline" or "Share the Pain"

The "Baseline"
Your first session!

The "Baseline" allows you to get a feel for CrossFit and our trainers, members, and facility.  PLEASE feel free to ask questions - our goal is to educate!  The session will also provides us with a general idea of your current fitness capacities, needs, and goals.  The session will take 30 - 40 minutes and involves a mini-workout, so please wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle!  Set up a "Baseline" session for free!

"Share the Pain" Days
Open classes for all!

Every four weeks, we open our CrossFit classes to the public for free - no catch.  The workouts on these days are beginner workouts and personalized to all individuals who come in.  Check the dates on our home page to see when the next "StP" occurs!

2) "Elements" or "Fitness Coaching"

The "Elements" Course
Our introductory course to CrossFit

The course runs only once every 4 weeks, so be sure to sign up early!  You will attend a minimum of 3 group classes per week (for a total of 12 classes) before you graduate into our regular CrossFit classes.  "Elements" is designed to accomplish two things: 1)  To teach you the basic movements found in CrossFit workouts and 2) introduce intensity gradually so your body can adapt safely (we are not here to break you!).

Our goal will be safety, form, and technique - THEN intensity.  We don't push hard until you prove you are ready to be pushed hard!

The "Fitness Coaching" Program
Our "1-on-1" approach to CrossFit

Another option for new members is "Fitness Coaching" sessions.  These are 1-on-1 sessions with a trainer and will accomplish the same curriculum as "Elements."  We will recommend these training sessions if:

  • you require extra accountability
  • you are completely new to exercise or have been sedentary for more than 3 years
  • you are referred to us by a physician, physical therapist, or chiropractor (for fuctionality reasons)
  • you have significant health or orthopedic issues

Your trainer will tailor workouts specifically for your current level of fitness and progress you at the proper pace.  Following these sessions you may then choose to continue with private training or join the group classes.
