Getting Started

CrossFit is elite fitness for everyone. Our classes and private coaching are based on the CrossFit program originally developed by legendary coach Greg Glassman after his many years of watching, working with, and coaching all types of people – from those merely interested in general fitness to elite athletes.

CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running) executed at high intensity. The workouts themselves are completely scalable, which means that a new participant and a CrossFit veteran can complete the same workout with changes in load and intensity. CrossFit workouts will deliver phenomenal fitness in and of themselves or as a compliment to your sport-specific training regime.

What do I do?!?
Please come in and watch one of our training sessions! CrossFit videos on the internet will scare you away. The first thing you notice when you come in and watch a training session is the different skill levels of all the participants, yet everyone is working out together and supporting one another.

We have a very different attitude at our gym compared to many other CrossFit gyms. Our first focus is that you move well. Our trainers will COACH you, not yell at you to move faster or try and get you to do something you don’t want to do or are not truly capable of doing.

Once you realize CrossFit Las Vegas is the place for you, we require all those new to CrossFit to take our On Ramp program before joining the group sessions. The on ramp program is to acquaint you with the movements we do regularly, build your confidence, get your ready to increase intensity to apply into workouts. During each on ramp session you will also be tasked to perform a workout suited to your abilities.

The usual steps to doing CrossFit at CrossFit Las Vegas are the following:
1) Come in and watch one of our world class coaches instruct a class.
2) Come in for our
Intro Class on Saturdays at noon, which is FREE to any Las Vegas local.
3) Choose between either
1 on 1 On Ramp OR our
Group On Ramp with one of our coaches,.
4) After completetion of either On Ramp you can participate in any of our CrossFit group classes!!

Is CrossFit Right for Me?

If you are someone who:

  • Is looking to get in shape but can’t face going to a gym;
  • Has lost interest in your gym routine;
  • Thinks you don’t have time to exercise;
  • Is looking to get faster or stronger in your sport, OR
  • Is no longer seeing results with your current training regime;

Then CrossFit is for YOU. Every workout is different, and since you will rarely do the same thing twice, you are less likely to lose interest or get bored than if you were doing the same circuits at the gym three days a week. Because our workouts are rarely more than 45 minutes long they can fit into even the busiest schedules. Perhaps most importantly, since Joe started coaching athletes in the parks around Las Vegas in 2006, our athletes have seen dramatic changes in their speed, strength, performance, and body composition.
